At Cornerstone Speech, Language, and Learning Center, Inc., we offer speech and language therapy. We serve people of all ages: preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school, college and adults.

Cornerstone Speech, Language, and Learning Center, Inc. has been serving Calhoun, Georgia, and the surrounding areas, such as Rome, Cartersville, Dalton, and Chatsworth, since 1988. This practice was built on the belief that God is our cornerstone. Communication (speech and language), comprehension, education, reading and learning are the cornerstones for a successful future.
At Cornerstone Speech, Language, and Learning Center, Inc., we offer a very successful approach to speech therapy. With our pediatric patients, we offer structured, goal-directed play therapy. When children come through the doors of Cornerstone, they are greeted with smiling, friendly faces and an assortment of carefully selected resources, such as toy trucks, cars, trains/tracks, blocks, puzzles, sandbox with toys and more. Our children also use state-of-the-art computers and a magnificent “play” kitchen, including tables, chairs, microwave, refrigerator, stove, realistic play food, and plastic ware.
We implement an interactive intervention approach for all of our patients. We serve people of all ages: preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school, college, adults, and senior adults.
Parents, caregivers, and others are encouraged to actively participate in the home therapy plan to promote carryover of skills into other environments. We will also collaborate with other professionals working with our patients to ensure consistency and to monitor progress.


Sandra Walker–Morgan M. Ed. CCC-SLP, received her B.S. degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She also received her M. Ed. Degree in Speech and Language Pathology with a specialty in Reading from Columbus University in Columbus, Georgia. She has over 30 years of experience in speech, language, and learning disabilities.
Licensed by the State of Georgia in Speech and Language Pathology and certified with a certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Sandra Walker-Morgan is dedicated to the success of each individual by developing programs catered to their needs.

Turn east toward Fairmount. Continue to first traffic light and turn left onto Lovers Lane (between Cracker Barrel Restaurant & Longhorn Steakhouse). Continue on Lovers Lane to first traffic light, (intersection of Lovers Lane, Dews Pond Road and Harmony Church Road). Cornerstone Speech, Language and Learning Center; Inc. will be located in Harmony Square at this intersection.

Turn west toward Calhoun. Go to the first traffic light and turn left onto Curtis Parkway. Turn left at the next traffic light onto Dews Pond Road. Continue on Dews Pond Road for approximately 1/2 mile. Cornerstone Speech, Language and Learning Center; Inc. will be located in Harmony Square (left side of road, just before traffic light).
